In addition to a winning trial practice, Mr. Simses has successfully handled numerous appellate arguments for the Firm's clients in both state and federal appellate courts. He is presently licensed to practice law in Texas, Louisiana and Colorado and he is a member of several legal associations including the state bar associations of Texas, Louisiana and Colorado as well as the Maritime Law Association, the Texas Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute. He is admitted to practice in all of the state courts of Texas, Louisiana and Colorado as well as before the United States District Courts, Fifth and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Simses is a graduate of Fairfield University with a degree in political science. After graduating from Fairfield in 1978, he left Connecticut and headed south where he attended law school at Loyola University in New Orleans, graduating in 1981. He was a member of Loyola's Law Review while at the same time working full time as a law clerk for the very same law firm he is proud to be a shareholder of today. He has earned an AV rating. Mr. Simses has been married to Corinne since 1982 and is blessed with two great kids, Ricky and Jacqui. His personal interests range from coaching basketball, music, traveling, playing golf and riding motorcycles, both on- and off-road, to running marathons. |
