ROBERT E. GUIDRY is an associate with Abbott, Simses & Kuchler at the Firm's Covington office. Mr. Guidry completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University (B.A. 1998), where he was a member of the History Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta.

Prior to law school, Mr. Guidry participated in an externship for the Louisiana Supreme Court and later served as the assistant to the En Banc Attorney at the Twenty-Fourth Judicial District Court handling criminal matters related to post-conviction relief.

Mr. Guidry received his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law in 2002. While attending Loyola, he was the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Loyola Maritime Law Journal and was instrumental in establishing the journal and publishing the inaugural 2002 issue. Mr. Guidry is also an active member of the Journal's advisory board.

He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana (2003), the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, (2003) and all Louisiana State Courts (2002). He is a member of the New Orleans, Louisiana State, Federal and American Bar Associations and currently is a commissioned Reserve Deputy Constable for the First City Court, Parish of Orleans.

Mr. Guidry practices in the areas of Toxic Tort Litigation focusing on Products and Premises Liability claims, Environmental Law, Commercial Litigation and General Civil Litigation. He also has experience in Insurance Defense and Maritime Law involving personal injury/death litigation, collision and contract disputes.

Mr. Guidry resides in Covington, Louisiana, with his wife, Caroline, and five children, Coleman, Justin, Ian, Grace and Grant.
