Abbott, Simses & Kuchler is pleased to announce that Paul Lavelle has been awarded the Jefferson Bar Association Auxiliary's 2005 "Volunteer of the Year" Award. The Jefferson Bar Association Auxiliary annually selects a Volunteer of the Year to recognize the contributions of a member of the Jefferson Bar Association to the Jefferson Parish legal community. Besides his volunteer work throughout 2005 with the business, CLE and family programs of the Jefferson Bar, Mr. Lavelle was acknowledged for his work in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina both in connection with the recovery of the Bar Association and the establishment of a Katrina Recovery Fund for members of the Jefferson Parish legal community suffering damage from the storm. Congratulations!
Paul Lavelle is Senior Counsel in the New Orleans office. He practices in the areas of toxic tort, environmental, products liability, construction, and general civil litigation. Mr. Lavelle received his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law in 1981, and his B.S. from the University of Scranton in 1978.
