Paul Lavelle And Charles Abbott Co-Author A Chapter On "Handling Expert Witnesses In Discovery" For A DRI Publication Geared For Young Lawyers

Paul Lavelle and Charles Abbott, of the New Orleans Office, have co-authored a chapter on "Handling Expert Witnesses in Discovery" in a DRI publication/textbook entitled "A Young Lawyer's Guide to Defense Practice - 2006."

This guide is targeted at the needs of young defense lawyers. This is an indispensable publication for young lawyers, and for law firms with young lawyers working as associates. The 27 chapters are authored by experienced defense lawyers, who offer practical guidance and insights into virtually every area of trial practice and procedure. The guide also addresses such important considerations as ethics and life in a law firm. Areas covered include: law firm life, ethics and conflicts, defending a claim, expert witnesses, discovery, evidence at trial, and various litigation topics (including motion practice, voir dire, opening statements and closing arguments, arguing motions and appeals, and writing an appellate brief).
