Lawrence Abbott Selected To Serve On Governor-Elect Bobby Jindal’s Hurricane Recovery Advisory Council

Abbott, Simses & Kuchler is proud to announce that its Managing Director, Lawrence Abbott, has been selected to serve on Governor-elect Bobby Jindal’s Hurricane Recovery Advisory Council.  Members of the Council will provide comment on the Governor-elect’s current, detailed position paper on hurricane recovery, and will offer a “lessons learned” priority list of issues that his administration will need to address upon taking office.

There will be a series of hearings held throughout Louisiana during which the Council will take testimony from experts and/or other witnesses,  all focused upon Louisiana’s hurricane recovery and such additional issues as wetlands restoration, coastal protection, etc.

The hearings will be conducted in a manner similar to the congressional hearing process – each witness will give a brief summary of their position/concern followed by questions and answers from the committee members.
