Since his graduation from law school, Mr. Richeson has been responsible for a broad civil litigation docket. Prior to joining Abbott, Simses & Kuchler in 2005, he practiced in Portland, Oregon and then in Dallas, Texas successfully representing parties in civil litigation. Because of that success, Mr. Richeson is "AV" Peer Review rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Richeson is licensed to practice law by the State Courts of Oregon, Texas, and Louisiana, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, as well as to the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana. He practices in the areas of Toxic Tort Litigation, Premises and Products Liability, Environmental Law, Commercial Litigation and General Civil Litigation. Mr. Richeson's trial experience includes serving as co-lead trial counsel in numerous state actions, including a multi-party wrongful termination and breach of fiduciary duty action and a multi-party trial involving fraud, conspiracy, RICO, and usury. He has further success at the state appellate levels in Texas. Mr. Richeson presently manages a complex civil litigation docket in Louisiana, and is in charge of the day-to-day case management of the asbestos docket for one of the Firm's major corporate clients. He concentrates in the areas of Toxic Tort and Mass Tort Litigation, with a particular emphasis on the defense of oilfield-related, chemical exposure cases. Mr. Richeson was born and raised in Jefferson City, Missouri, but now resides in New Orleans, Louisiana, with his wife, Wiebke, and their two boys, Cy and Behrens. He enjoys a bruising game of soccer and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. |
