Mrs. Talbot received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1997. While earning her undergraduate degree, she received the Presidential Honors Scholarship and the Multi-Ethnic Achievement Award all four years. She was also a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. Mrs. Talbot earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from American University, Washington College of Law in 2001. While maintaining a full course load, she served as the Assistant Executive Director of the Moot Court Board, Editor of the Health Law News and was selected to work as a Dean's Fellow, performing legal research for an article published in Case Western's Journal of Medicine, Health Matrix. Prior to joining the Firm in 2003, Mrs. Talbot served as a law clerk for the Honorable Mary Ellen Abrecht at the Superior Court for the District of Columbia. She prepared draft opinions and managed a complex civil trial docket consisting of medical malpractice, personal injury, and labor and employment lawsuits. To date, Mrs. Talbot has successfully defended the Firm's clients at depositions and hearings throughout the state of Texas. She is licensed to practice law in the states of Maryland and Texas and admitted in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Her areas of practice include Commercial Litigation, Mass Tort Claims, Environmental Litigation and Premises Liability. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Houston Bar Association and the Texas State Bar Association. Mrs. Talbot was born and raised in Nyack, New York. She currently resides in Houston, Texas with her husband, David, who also practices law. They enjoy traveling, the theater, and visiting art galleries. |
