DAVID H. HARDWICKE is an attorney with the law firm of Abbott, Simses & Kuchler. Mr. Hardwicke is located in the Firm's Houston, Texas office.

Mr. Hardwicke received his undergraduate degree in English from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma in 1975. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1978 from the University of Oklahoma.

Mr. Hardwicke brings to the Firm a wide variety of legal experience. He began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Named Outstanding Assistant District Attorney for 1981, Mr. Hardwicke prepared and tried a number of cases to a verdict, including a lead role and extensive work in 1982-83 on the State of Oklahoma's only contemporary "no-body" murder case. Beginning in 1984, his trial experience continued for 5 years as in-house counsel at Phillips Petroleum Company's Houston field office, including serving as lead counsel in numerous personal injury and property damage defense cases. Mr. Hardwicke then switched his legal focus and for several years concentrated on transactional matters for both Phillips and its Chemicals/Plastics affiliate, Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, LP.  Mr. Hardwicke has extensive experience in managing litigation.

Mr. Hardwicke was admitted to practice law in Oklahoma in 1978, Texas in 1985, and Arkansas in 2005. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Houston Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in all Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas state courts and has been qualified to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas, the Western and Northern Districts of Oklahoma, the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Tenth Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Hardwicke is rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell, the oldest and most respected legal directory in the United States.

Mr. Hardwicke is currently managing a litigation caseload at Abbott, Simses & Kuchler which includes defending clients in Toxic Tort litigation.

Mr. Hardwicke is originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and is a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation. Mr. Hardwicke currently resides in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Diane. David and Diane have three daughters. Mr. Hardwicke enjoys cooking, riding motorcycles and motorcycle racing.
